How to remove a BMW 1 Series car stereo - (2004 Onwards)
Items you might need before you start work - Original stereo image 
How to do it step by step 
Start by prising the heater controls out on each side.
This should allow you to see the 2 screws, 1 on each side under the stereo.
Now once those screws are un-done you need to prise the silver trim panel above the stereo off to allow the stereo to be released.
Remove radio and disconnect aerial and wiring plugs from back.
