How to remove a Toyota MR2 car stereo - (2000 to 2006)


Items you might need before you start work -

How to do it step by step






Follow the two verticle columns down either side of the stereo and prise of the silver plastic cover off carefully.


Locate the two screws holding the pillar cover in place and undo them on each side.



Remove the screws and slide the cover down and remove the trim to expose the pillar.


Next remove the heater control switches to expose two screws and undo. If you pull this piece of trim off you should now gain access to the stereo screws holding the unit in place.
Disconnect the wiring loom and aerial to release the stereo.
